Each artist represent a particular medium and career path but they all battle the same issues both externally and internally. We learn of Omar's strong female influence on his art careers, Makala's use of her talent to affect change and hold leaders accountable in her community, 'Qua's earliest memory of when he first fell in love with art and Torie's childhood success as a 10 year old published illustrator.
